I found out today and my heart broke in two
I can’t believe it was the last time I saw you
I cried all day and denied it all
I tried to speak to you, but you never answered my call.
My heart was heavy and my spirit was weak

The pain wouldn’t go and I thought you were still alive
Until they confirmed on the news, “First at Five.”
A week ago today and the grief is still here
But I’m starting to feel your presence is near.
I preyed for you to visit me while I slept,
And you did, and I thankyou for the promise that you kept.

A black cat would sneak past in the night,
Then it was lost…out of sight.
The Villagers would tremble and fear.
Now the Witch was coming, she was already here.
The parents held on to their young,
Then the witch knocked on the door, to her it was fun.
Down went the door with a loud BOOM!
The poor child had met its doom.
"Come with me, you snotty-nosed brat!"
"I won't!" he screamed, "You are ugly and fat!"
The Witch screamed and yanked the child,
Her voice loud and her hair wild.
"Give us back our son, we won't tell!"
The Witch snickered and then yelled:
"Your place is old, your child young,
"Come with me boy, we'll
